Making high heels comfy for wedding?
It’s not like I’ve never worn high heeled shoes before. I own several pairs which I wear quite frequently, including a pair that goes great with my wedding dress, though I’m not sure they were meant to be wedding shoes. My fiancee is much taller than me so yes heels are neededm and instead of buying new shoes I’d like to wear the ones I have. Does anyone know a way to make them more comfortable?
These shoes are strappy sandals, as it’s a summer wedding outdoors.
I find that the more broken in your shoes are the better, so when I was a server I was always in the process of breaking in new shoes. I wore them in the house with socks on (to prevent blisters) for an hour or two a day.
The other thing I can say as someone who wears high heels A LOT for work and anytime I’m not chasing my two-year-old is that your feet do adapt to wearing high heels and they become more comfortable. I suggest wearing high heels (any pair, not just your wedding pair) as much as you can, for as long as you can in a day, leading up to your wedding. It won’t be such a shell shock to your feet when you stand in them for twelve hours!
I also suggest Dr. Scholl’s shoe inserts. They have made wearing heels a lot nicer! They were a big trick of the trade when I was a waitress.
